What is love?

When you’re younger you think love is being kissed in the rain, the love of your life getting off the plane to spend their lives with you, having picnics in the sun, however when you become parents your idea of love changes.

Love is them sterilising the bottles for you so you don’t have to do them in the morning. Love is them taking the baby so you can have an extra long shower. Love is that knowing touch when you look stressed or upset, without saying a single word. Love is making you a new cup of coffee without asking as your last one has gone cold. 

The depth of love also changes when you become a parent, as the love you have for your child has no bounds. You would literally do anything for them. I mean, I would be covered in spiders and jump from the highest heights if it means protecting Ivy, and that’s saying something! 

As you grow older your way of looking at love becomes more mature and deepens. Love is the most powerful tool in our arsenal and it deserves to be felt by all.
