Sometimes I can’t believe how lucky I am to have my gorgeous daughter. What did I do to deserve such a wonderful little human? The moments I feel truly bless for are…

1. That first morning smile when she wakes up properly. Her legs kick ten to a dozen because she’s excited to see me and she squeals to show that she’s missed me.

2. Those peaceful early morning feeds where the world still isn’t awake yet but we are cuddling and having some precious moments together. It’s also reassuring to know there are other Mums across the world doing the exact same thing, it bonds you in a way.

3. Watching her observe the world and take everything in. I love it when we go for our evening walks and we can see her studying the trees and coping in the fresh air.

4. Play time when she tries to laugh because Daddy has thrown her in the air or Mummy is doing a silly dance that she finds funny. She’s completely besotted with us and the feeling is very much mutual.

5. Finally, just watching her grow and seeing her change every day. I love that she still enjoys a nap on my chest, as I know a day will come where she has the last nap on me and I won’t see it coming. So until then I plan to cherish every beautiful moment with her, even through the stormiest moments, she’s still our sunshine.
